Hi friends! I know I've been pretty MIA around here lately. I've been under the weather (thank you chronic illness). But I wanted to pop in and say HI! And also let you know I won't be gone forever. I'm hoping to get back to work soon, but in the mean time, I've been spending lots of time with my kitties. I hope you all are doing wonderfully ❤️ and I'll see y'all soon!
So some of you may know that kitties, and animals in general, are a cause that is close to my heart. And, when it comes to cats, I believe so strongly in TNR, or trap-neuter-return. I have started taking care of a small colony of feral kitties about 20 minutes from my house recently. We've started having some bad weather, and in a panic, I rigged something to keep their food dry until I can do something more permanent. I take care of these guys out of my own pocket. I don't get any financial assistance, so I thought I would give you a peek at where some, or a lot, of the proceeds of The Vintage Meow will be going. By buying my art, you will be helping to feed and protect these cats that can't speak for themselves. This is so close to my heart, and I wanted you all to be a part of this journey with me ❤️ #feralcats #feralcat #feralcatsofinstagram #feralcatsneedlovetoo
After reading @soulmadegoods post about not letting anyone dull her shine (Jessie is an inspiration), I wanted to touch on something. So many of you were so amazingly supportive and showed me an immense amount of love when I posted about not being able to have children. And I thank you again, with all my soul. However, it shocked me, & even hurt a little, when right after that post, I lost a large number of followers. Now, I know it's not about how many people follow me. That's just a number. What matters to me is this community and the a-ma-zing friendships I've made and continue to make. I struggle with opening up, especially on social media. But you guys, my followers, are my tribe. And I want you to know ME. Not just what I make, but who I am. So, I'm going to try not to let those people who left hurt me too much. Instead, I'm just going to keep doing me, the way I want, & i would love nothing more than for you guys to come along for the ride! Thanks for reading & Have a great Saturday night ❤️ xo
